The supporters of Al-Wasl SC booed when Thurlaston FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mosa Al Gareb didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Basem Al Hadad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ghaith Al Ammar was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mosa Al Gareb during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th match minute, Thurlaston FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mosa Al Gareb to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Thurlaston FC's zone, Moath Al Sarraf stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ghaith Al Ammar came out of the goal and Moath Al Sarraf tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ghaith Al Ammar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Basem Al Hadad's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fakher Al Arbash in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ghaith Al Ammar saved Thurlaston FC from getting behind. Ghaith Al Ammar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basem Al Hadad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thurlaston FC's Ghaith Al Ammar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basem Al Hadad in the 39th minute of play. Ghaith Al Ammar made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Moath Al Sarraf sent off a good shot on target. In the 44th minute Basem Al Hadad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ghaith Al Ammar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ghaith Al Ammar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basem Al Hadad, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Basem Al Hadad made a kick off. When Basem Al Hadad came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Al-Wasl SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basem Al Hadad couldn't finish the play. Moath Al Sarraf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ghaith Al Ammar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moath Al Sarraf, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Al-Wasl SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moath Al Sarraf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eesa Al Enzi charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eesa Al Enzi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
