Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 30 minutes into the match, Abdelnaser Dehrab had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joop Minnen. Sharjah FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abdelnaser Dehrab was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wasel Al Bahar got free with Domenico Lampa in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joop Minnen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdelnaser Dehrab, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joop Minnen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdelnaser Dehrab in the 41st minute of the match. Wasel Al Bahar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Domenico Lampa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Khor Fakkan Sport & C C's Domenico Lampa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Khor Fakkan Sport & C C from getting a goal against them. After having played for 48 minutes, Abdelnaser Dehrab managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Khor Fakkan Sport & C C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abdelnaser Dehrab was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abdelnaser Dehrab stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Abdelnaser Dehrab blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joop Minnen having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shjae Al Sallal in the 56th minute of play forced Khor Fakkan Sport & C C's goalkeeper Domenico Lampa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Meshal Al Herz took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Domenico Lampa. Domenico Lampa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Adham Al Dosery received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Joop Minnen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Sharjah FC's Joop Minnen got control of the ball when Abdelnaser Dehrab tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Habib Al Najdi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
