An unexpectedly hard shot by Fuad Shams in the 34th minute of play forced fly Emirates's goalkeeper Theo McColl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Fawzy Bo Hamad fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored fly Emirates's protests and gave Fawzy Bo Hamad a yellow card for diving instead. In the 37th match minute, Ajmán Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mosalam Al Sherazi to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd minute Habib Al Hindi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theo McColl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fuad Shams's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Theo McColl skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.
The wind increased when Luai Al Amer made the kick off in the second half. Luai Al Amer struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Curt Stöckli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for fly Emirates. fly Emirates's Theo McColl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fuad Shams in the 53rd minute of play. The supporters of fly Emirates booed when Ajmán Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Habib Al Hindi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 57 minutes into the game, Luai Al Amer recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Curt Stöckli. Luai Al Amer showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Ajmán Club's Curt Stöckli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Ajmán Club from getting a goal against them. Habib Al Hindi charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Habib Al Hindi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 68 minutes into the match, Ajmán Club's goalkeeper Curt Stöckli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aamir Dashti. Ghazi Al Ajmi's late challenge caught a fly Emirates's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ghazi Al Ajmi helped the player get up and apologised. After 73 played minutes Ajmán Club got a freekick which was hit by Ghazi Al Ajmi. Aamir Dashti struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Faleh Al Mahmed was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 76 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ajmán Club fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 75th minute. Penalty! When Aamir Dashti came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the fly Emirates fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aamir Dashti couldn't finish the play. Mahdi Al Arbash scored 0-4 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Curt Stöckli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 94 minutes, Fuad Shams mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ajmán Club and the fly Emirates players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 94th minute, Fuad Shams hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Moner Shrean managed to get in a good position for a shot. fly Emirates's supporters rose to their feet, but Moner Shrean was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Curt Stöckli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
