The Fuyaira SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aesem Khaja should have stopped the shot. After the first half Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Shjae Al Sallal's late challenge caught a Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fahad Bo Hamad in the 85th minute of play forced Fuyaira SC's goalkeeper Aesem Khaja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Fuyaira SC's goal looked a bit too open when Khalaf Al Herz came free, but Aesem Khaja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Naji Al Khobaize cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Yazeed Al Saleh was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aesem Khaja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yasser Shadad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Fuyaira SC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain's performance. The match ended with a win for Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain.
