A collision led to Golden Tigers getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Haşmet Hicabi hit a great ball. After 23 minutes, Mario Pochekanski made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Al Wasl Dubai FC's Sten Zander tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 26 minutes of play, Golden Tigers's 何文震 made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sten Zander was left in no man's land by his defense there! 何文震 struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Sten Zander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Golden Tigers. After some careless play in the Al Wasl Dubai FC defense, Darweesh Al Matrok kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sten Zander. The Al Wasl Dubai FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sten Zander should have stopped the shot. Sten Zander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Al Wasl Dubai FC's Sten Zander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Khalel Al Motar in the 43rd minute of play. Sten Zander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Pochekanski, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 0-7 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When Abdul Mohsen Al Sallal fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Al Wasl Dubai FC's protests and gave Abdul Mohsen Al Sallal a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Al Wasl Dubai FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Golden Tigers made a substitution. Yaqoub Bo Resley replaced Haşmet Hicabi. Sten Zander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Khalel Al Motar in the 65th minute of the match. Sten Zander was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and 何文震 capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. 何文震 really showed his touch with that goal: 0-10. That made the score 0-12 in the 75 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 何文震 in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sten Zander saved Al Wasl Dubai FC from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Golden Tigers's Darweesh Al Matrok slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sten Zander. That made the score 0-14 after 93 minutes of play. Khalel Al Motar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Golden Tigers left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Al Wasl Dubai FC.
