The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the match, Khalel Al Motar dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Yazeed Al Saleh, 1-0. A collision led to Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Yasser Shadad hit a great ball. Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain's Yazeed Al Saleh proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain from getting a goal against them. In the 16th minute Fahad Bo Hamad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdul Rahman Al Youha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yazeed Al Saleh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ameer Ashkanani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Golden Tigers's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mohammad Al Ateqi in the 19th minute. The corner ended in Mohammad Al Ateqi almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain's Yazeed Al Saleh did a great save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mario Pochekanski in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yazeed Al Saleh prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Yazeed Al Saleh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mohammad Al Ateqi in the 22nd minute of the match. Abdul Rahman Al Youha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mamdouh Al Amer went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 31 minutes into the match, Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain's goal looked a bit too open when Khalel Al Motar came free, but Yazeed Al Saleh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abdul Rahman Al Youha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yasser Shadad in the 32nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Golden Tigers's Mohammad Al Ateqi got a free kick in the 33rd minute. After some careless play in the Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain defense, Ameer Ashkanani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yazeed Al Saleh. The Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yazeed Al Saleh should have stopped the shot. After 37 played minutes Golden Tigers got a freekick which was hit by Naem Al Khaled. Abdul Rahman Al Youha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eshaq Al Khars in the 38th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain's goal looked a bit too open when Khalel Al Motar came free, but Yazeed Al Saleh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Golden Tigers's Mario Pochekanski got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 42 minutes into the game, one of Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Yazeed Al Saleh, was totally fooled by Golden Tigers's Mario Pochekanski, who 46 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
51 minutes into the match, Raed Kakoli dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Abdul Rahman Al Youha, 3-2. Yazeed Al Saleh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Khalel Al Motar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raed Kakoli struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Abdul Rahman Al Youha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain. In the 63rd minute, Khalel Al Motar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Golden Tigers's Naem Al Khaled got a free kick in the 66th minute. Yazeed Al Saleh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Pochekanski in the 68th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain defense, Mohammad Al Ateqi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yazeed Al Saleh. The Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yazeed Al Saleh should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Pochekanski in the 74th minute of play forced Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain's goalkeeper Yazeed Al Saleh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yazeed Al Saleh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Khalel Al Motar in the 75th minute of play. The supporters of Golden Tigers booed when Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eshaq Al Khars didn't get a good kick on the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain's goal looked a bit too open when Khalel Al Motar came free, but Yazeed Al Saleh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the game, Golden Tigers's Darweesh Al Matrok nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yazeed Al Saleh made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. 91 minutes into the match, Mohammad Al Ateqi notched a goal, 6-2, to the right of Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain's Yazeed Al Saleh. Yazeed Al Saleh was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. For all the effort they put into the match, the Al Arabi Umm Al Quwain players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Golden Tigers.
