An unexpected shot in the 4th minute by Andrey Chemodanov got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A collision led to Almaty Stars getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Konstantin Makarenkov hit a great ball. The supporters of Staines booed when Almaty Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arkadiy Solodov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valentin Mazurin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 23 played minutes Staines got a freekick which was hit by Innokentiy Vetrov. When Vsevolod Bochkin fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Staines's protests and gave Vsevolod Bochkin a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Almaty Stars booed when Staines was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vsevolod Bochkin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andrey Chemodanov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Pavel Ignatenko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Artem Korpisko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Artem Korpisko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Staines's supporters rose to their feet, but Artem Korpisko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Innokentiy Terentiev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Innokentiy Terentiev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Mazurin in the 37th minute of the match. If Artem Korpisko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 43 minutes of play, Staines's Artem Korpisko made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Innokentiy Terentiev was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 47 minutes, Vitaliy Zhuravlev mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Almaty Stars and the Staines players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 48th match minute, Almaty Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitaliy Zhuravlev to maneuver through the defense. When Valentin Mazurin came up free with the goalie in the 49th minute, the Staines fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentin Mazurin couldn't finish the play.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonard Hlopetskiy during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 58th match minute, Staines was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonard Hlopetskiy to maneuver through the defense. Denis Silin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pavel Ignatenko having to make a save. In the 83rd minute, Artem Korpisko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Artem Korpisko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Innokentiy Terentiev having to interfere. Innokentiy Terentiev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Mazurin in the 86th minute of the match.
