In the 7thth minute of the game Vitaliy Liberzon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Waterloo AFC's Afanasiy Senin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Afanasiy Senin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dmitriy Firsov in the 10th minute of play. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Waterloo AFC's goalkeeper Afanasiy Senin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Waterloo AFC's Timofey Kontanistov got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dmitriy Kuzmin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Eccles AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Klyuchnik came free, but Vsevolod Mavlyanov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vsevolod Mavlyanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Klyuchnik in the 27th minute of play. Filimon Hristenko succeeded in the game's 31st minute to get real power on a long shot . Waterloo AFC's Afanasiy Senin hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 1-0! Vsevolod Mavlyanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timofey Kontanistov in the 35th minute of play. Igor Klyuchnik's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vsevolod Mavlyanov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Timofey Kontanistov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dmitriy Firsov was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Waterloo AFC's zone, Dmitriy Firsov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afanasiy Senin came out of the goal and Dmitriy Firsov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 54th minute, Dmitriy Firsov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Eccles AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After a rather tough play, Eccles AFC's Albert Artyuhin got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 58th minute, Demid Shevchenko sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Eccles AFC's Vsevolod Mavlyanov didn't even have to move. Dmitriy Firsov hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Timofey Kontanistov was extremely unlucky when he, in the 68th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Vsevolod Mavlyanov made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Timofey Kontanistov sent off a good shot on target. Afanasiy Senin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dmitriy Kuzmin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dmitriy Kuzmin in the 85th minute of play forced Waterloo AFC's goalkeeper Afanasiy Senin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Igor Klyuchnik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rustam Sidorov's late challenge caught a Waterloo AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rustam Sidorov helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Waterloo AFC booed when Eccles AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rustam Sidorov didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Dmitriy Kuzmin came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Eccles AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dmitriy Kuzmin couldn't finish the play. Timofey Kontanistov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Vsevolod Mavlyanov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
