Spectators: 8121 (Terracing: 6093, Seating: 1867, VIP seats: 161) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Igor Klyuchnik kicked off to start the match. Timur Timofeev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gleb Vorobiev kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Sergey Bukrinskiy hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Afanasiy Senin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Demyan Neverovskiy in the 9th minute of play. With a little luck, Whitwell's Stanislav Globa got control of the ball when Timofey Kontanistov tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Waterloo AFC booed when Whitwell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roman Alabin didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Timofey Kontanistov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute Timur Timofeev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afanasiy Senin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Igor Klyuchnik might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stanislav Globa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Igor Klyuchnik ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 18th play minute Timofey Kontanistov came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Stanislav Globa. 1-0. In the 21st minute Anton Dizhbak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afanasiy Senin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 24 minutes, Anton Dizhbak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Whitwell's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anton Dizhbak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 26th minute, Anton Dizhbak made a precise shot to the right of Afanasiy Senin. Waterloo AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Waterloo AFC's Evgeniy Trofimov got a free kick in the 29th minute. Anton Dizhbak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Afanasiy Senin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Timur Timofeev put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Afanasiy Senin. After a defensive mix-up in Waterloo AFC's zone, Anton Dizhbak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afanasiy Senin came out of the goal and Anton Dizhbak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Timur Timofeev put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Afanasiy Senin. The audience was convinced that Timur Timofeev's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Afanasiy Senin was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anton Dizhbak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Whitwell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yuliy Bildinskiy to maneuver through the defense. Waterloo AFC's Afanasiy Senin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anton Dizhbak in the 59th minute of play. Timur Timofeev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afanasiy Senin having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Whitwell's Anton Dizhbak ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Afanasiy Senin. Afanasiy Senin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. In the 71st minute, Roman Alabin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stanislav Globa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Timofey Kontanistov's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Igor Klyuchnik in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stanislav Globa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Anton Dizhbak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afanasiy Senin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Dizhbak in the 81st minute of the match. A collision led to Waterloo AFC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Gennadiy Golubev hit a great ball. When Vadim Simonyan came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Whitwell fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vadim Simonyan couldn't finish the play.
