The referee ignored Beverley United's protests and gave Arkadiy Ignatenko a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th minute, Arkadiy Ignatenko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arkadiy Ignatenko kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Beverley United's Andrey Hramov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Beverley United from getting a goal against them. Fedor Alekseenko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dmitriy Kratov in the 14th minute of the match. After having played for 15 minutes, Artur Zhukov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC ASTANA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Artur Zhukov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vasiliy Agaryshev charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vasiliy Agaryshev the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 16th minute, Vasiliy Agaryshev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dmitriy Kratov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fedor Alekseenko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dmitriy Kratov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to FC ASTANA getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Jim Blom hit a great ball. In the 27th match minute, Beverley United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arkadiy Ignatenko to maneuver through the defense. Andrey Hramov made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Sergey Molchanov sent off a good shot on target. Konstantin Semenov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the FC ASTANA defense, Konstantin Semenov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fedor Alekseenko. The FC ASTANA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fedor Alekseenko should have stopped the shot. 38 minutes into the match, FC ASTANA's goal looked a bit too open when Dmitriy Kratov came free, but Fedor Alekseenko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fedor Alekseenko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dmitriy Kratov, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Fedor Alekseenko stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Konstantin Semenov's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergey Molchanov in the 45th minute of play forced Beverley United's goalkeeper Andrey Hramov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 51st minute Mauro Mannie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrey Hramov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Konstantin Semenov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fedor Alekseenko having to interfere. Konstantin Semenovs short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Fedor Alekseenko to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, FC ASTANA's Fedor Alekseenko got control of the ball when Vitaliy Doronin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fedor Alekseenko made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Konstantin Semenov sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Mauro Mannie managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC ASTANA's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauro Mannie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrey Hramov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dmitriy Kratov in the 65th minute of play forced FC ASTANA's goalkeeper Fedor Alekseenko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 69 played minutes Beverley United got a freekick which was hit by Igor Petuhov. Dmitriy Kratov kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Mauro Mannie took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Andrey Hramov. Andrey Hramov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Fedor Alekseenko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Konstantin Semenov in the 76th minute. In the 91st minute, Sergey Molchanov made a precise shot to the right of Andrey Hramov. Beverley United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. There was no doubt that FC ASTANA were the better team. FC ASTANA's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
