Rudolf Belenchenko who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Afanasiy Aziatskov when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Afanasiy Aziatskov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afanasiy Orlov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Zinoviy Zvyagintsev managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hunslet's supporters rose to their feet, but Zinoviy Zvyagintsev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aleksey Lavrinenko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
