The Melomans fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 22nd match minute, Melomans was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gennadiy Lomonosov to maneuver through the defense. Artem Bitov kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Anton Churbanov's late challenge caught a Melomans's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anton Churbanov helped the player get up and apologised. After 38 played minutes Pittsburgh Kazaks got a freekick which was hit by Anton Churbanov. Yuriy Adamenko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vyacheslav Belenko struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Petr Luschevskiy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pittsburgh Kazaks.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vyacheslav Belenko to make the kick off.
