In the 15th minute of the match Lev Shakhov shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vladimir Nikitin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sergey Puchkov in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Konstantin Zinovev prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Timofey Goman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Konstantin Zinovev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Fedor Fanyaev came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Hexham FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fedor Fanyaev couldn't finish the play. In the 25th minute, Sergey Puchkov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Konstantin Zinovev was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Konstantin Zinovev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timofey Goman in the 28th minute of the match. If Sergey Puchkov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Nikita Savostyanov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cleckheaton City reached it. When the match was over Hexham FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cleckheaton City throughout the match.
