Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gerasim Ovchinnikov started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Yuriy Vanin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vadim Stepanov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 6 minutes, Valentin Noskov successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Denis Gusev kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. With a little luck, Berwick Upon Tweed's Valentin Noskov got control of the ball when Grigoriy Sitnikov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gerasim Ovchinnikov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 14th minute, Grigoriy Sitnikov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vadim Stepanov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zahar Nelepin went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ruslan Lezhnev hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Berwick Upon Tweed's Valentin Noskov got control of the ball when Grigoriy Sitnikov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Grigoriy Sitnikov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Valentin Noskov made a huge save. In the 28th minute, Arkadiy Chaldymov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Polikarp Borisov's late challenge caught a Berwick Upon Tweed's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Polikarp Borisov helped the player get up and apologised. After 31 played minutes, Berwick Upon Tweed's Gennadiy Antushevskiy shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vadim Stepanov came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Berwick Upon Tweed reached it. Vadim Stepanov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zahar Nelepin in the 32nd minute of the match. Zahar Nelepin struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Vadim Stepanov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Berwick Upon Tweed. Vadim Stepanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zahar Nelepin in the 37th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The crowd rose to their feet as Berwick Upon Tweed's Zahar Nelepin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vadim Stepanov. That made the score 0-2 after 53 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Denis Gusev during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 59 played minutes Berwick Upon Tweed got a freekick which was hit by Denis Gusev. Valentin Noskov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klim Burataev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Grigoriy Sitnikov struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Valentin Noskov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Erith. Yuriy Vanin in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vadim Stepanov, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Zahar Nelepin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the match, Erith's goal looked a bit too open when Zahar Nelepin came free, but Vadim Stepanov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vadim Stepanov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zahar Nelepin's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. After 87 played minutes Erith got a freekick which was hit by Klim Burataev. Erith's Vadim Stepanov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zahar Nelepin in the 94th minute of play. In the 95th match minute, Berwick Upon Tweed was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruslan Lezhnev to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Berwick Upon Tweed eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
