Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Hexham FC's Sergey Puchkov started the match with a crisp pass. Vladimir Evdokimov's late challenge caught a Hexham FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vladimir Evdokimov helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th match minute, Mexborough was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladimir Evdokimov to maneuver through the defense. Pavel Ermolin struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Vladimir Nikitin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexborough. Vladimir Nikitin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimir Evdokimov, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 34th minute, Sergey Odintsov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 36 minutes into the match, Hexham FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pavel Ermolin came free, but Vladimir Nikitin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute, Pavel Ermolin made a precise shot to the right of Vladimir Nikitin. Hexham FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Valentin Pashenin charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valentin Pashenin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pavel Ermolin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vladimir Nikitin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pavel Ermolin made a kick off. After 51 minutes of play Hexham FC's Valentin Pashenin was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 50 minutes into the game, one of Hexham FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 53rd minute there was a penalty for Mexborough. Emmanuil Kandidov stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Vladimir Nikitin. 2-3. Fedor Fanyaev took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ippolit Bubenschikov. Hexham FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Timofey Goman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ippolit Bubenschikov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 70 minutes Hexham FC's goalkeeper Vladimir Nikitin managed, with a little bit of luck, save Emmanuil Kandidov's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot.
