With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nikolay Baranchikov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 7 minutes into the match, Burnley's goal looked a bit too open when Ilya Goryachiy came free, but Emmanuil Dobrolyubskiy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 8 played minutes Streatham got a freekick which was hit by Ilya Goryachiy. Burnley's Emmanuil Dobrolyubskiy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Burnley from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Burnley's Emmanuil Dobrolyubskiy got control of the ball when Roman Samonov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leontiy Filimonov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 42 minutes into the game, Stepan Karponosov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Burnley's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Streatham the free kick. The supporters of Streatham booed when Burnley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stepan Karponosov didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Vitold Bondarev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rudolf Klyuchevskiy to strike the kick off in the second half. Burnley's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Denis Burakov in the 52nd minute.
