Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Vsevolod Egorov made the kick off which started today's match. Valeriy Nazarov's late challenge caught a Cowley's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valeriy Nazarov helped the player get up and apologised. After 11 played minutes Alsager AFC got a freekick which was hit by Valeriy Nazarov. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cowley's goalkeeper Rafael Akinfeev, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 19 minutes into the match, Alsager AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Pavel Dymov came free, but Georgiy Belonozhkin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ruslan Sidorov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Cowley getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Ernest Angileev hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the match, Alsager AFC's goalkeeper Georgiy Belonozhkin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ruslan Sidorov. In the 38th minute, Ruslan Sidorov made a precise shot to the right of Georgiy Belonozhkin. Alsager AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ruslan Sidorov got free with Georgiy Belonozhkin in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Cowley fans' excitement grew in the 43rd match minute when Cowley's Pavel Dymov looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Grigoriy Rogozin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pavel Dymov was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Filipp Alin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pavel Dymov struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Georgiy Belonozhkin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cowley. Ruslan Sidorov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. The supporters of Cowley booed when Alsager AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Foma Demin didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ruslan Sidorov in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Georgiy Belonozhkin saved Alsager AFC from getting behind. The attack was good, but when Ruslan Sidorov in the 70th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Timofey Abuladze during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 72nd minute, Timofey Abuladze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Georgiy Belonozhkin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pavel Dymov's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Georgiy Belonozhkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pavel Dymov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The attack was good, but when Pavel Dymov in the 88th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After 90 played minutes Cowley got a freekick which was hit by Mark Koshevoy. A collision led to Alsager AFC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Foma Demin hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Vsevolod Egorov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alsager AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vsevolod Egorov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafael Akinfeev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cowley walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
