Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Lev Vyun got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pavel Dymov in the 7th minute of play forced Streatham's goalkeeper Nikolay Baranchikov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 8 minutes, Lev Vyun made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Cowley's Rafael Akinfeev tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Streatham booed when Cowley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timofey Geraschenko didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Roman Samonov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Samonov in the 25th minute of play forced Cowley's goalkeeper Rafael Akinfeev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lev Vyun in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafael Akinfeev saved Cowley from getting behind. Streatham's Nikolay Baranchikov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pavel Dymov in the 29th minute of play. Ruslan Sidorov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Nikolay Baranchikov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cowley's Pavel Dymov got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pavel Dymov was the one to do the kick off. Ruslan Sidorov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Cowley's zone, Lev Vyun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Akinfeev came out of the goal and Lev Vyun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Pavel Dymov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With splendid footwork Lev Vyun arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-3 by the left pole in the game's 74th minute. Ruslan Sidorov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 84 minutes, Pavel Dymov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cowley's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pavel Dymov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Cowley's zone, Lev Vyun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Akinfeev came out of the goal and Lev Vyun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pavel Dymov might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nikolay Baranchikov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pavel Dymov ran back to his position shaking his head. Cowley's Pavel Dymov got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Streatham supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Streatham would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
