Kapiton Mironov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kapiton Mironov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Keggers Hill United's Sergey Tupikin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. After a rather tough play, Keggers Hill United's Andrey Golushko got a free kick in the 31st minute. The Great Ayton AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sergey Tupikin to make the kick off. Filimon Pankratov hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Great Ayton AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vadim Rozhkov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stepan Belyanov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee felt a red card was in order, 71 minutes into the game, when Andrey Golushko put in a rough tackle. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonid Kazachkov got free with Stepan Belyanov in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee ignored Keggers Hill United's protests and gave Anton Travin a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Great Ayton AFC booed when Keggers Hill United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anton Travin didn't get a good kick on the ball.
