If Kliment Trofimov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22ndth minute of the game Arseniy Filimonov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Flushing's Petr Tochilin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vadim Beznosov hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Filey United defense, Vadim Gnezditskiy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Filipp Kolivin. The Filey United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Filipp Kolivin should have stopped the shot. In the 34th minute Vadim Gnezditskiy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipp Kolivin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Petr Tochilin came out of the goal and Kliment Trofimov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zinoviy Abaidulin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Filipp Kolivin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Vadim Gnezditskiy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Filipp Kolivin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Flushing's goalkeeper Petr Tochilin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, Flushing's goal looked a bit too open when Arseniy Filimonov came free, but Petr Tochilin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flushing's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
