Filipp Kolivin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kapiton Mironov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 8 played minutes Filey United got a freekick which was hit by Vadim Vorobtsov. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by Filey United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leonid Kazachkov was slow to take the kick. During this time Great Ayton AFC's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to Filey United getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Vyacheslav Volchkov hit a great ball. Filipp Kolivin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonid Kazachkov in the 14th minute of play. Gleb Kudryavtsev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arseniy Filimonov in the 15th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Filey United's zone, Kapiton Mironov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filipp Kolivin came out of the goal and Kapiton Mironov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arseniy Filimonov in the 31st minute of play forced Great Ayton AFC's goalkeeper Gleb Kudryavtsev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Filey United's goal looked a bit too open when Kapiton Mironov came free, but Filipp Kolivin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kapiton Mironov's late challenge caught a Filey United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kapiton Mironov helped the player get up and apologised. After 37 played minutes Great Ayton AFC got a freekick which was hit by Kapiton Mironov. Leonid Kazachkov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Filey United's goal looked a bit too open when Vadim Rozhkov came free, but Filipp Kolivin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd match minute, Great Ayton AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kapiton Mironov to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Vadim Rozhkov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Great Ayton AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vadim Rozhkov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filipp Kolivin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vadim Rozhkov in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filipp Kolivin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Filipp Kolivin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kapiton Mironov in the 57th minute of play. The supporters of Great Ayton AFC booed when Filey United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vyacheslav Volchkov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kapiton Mironov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filipp Kolivin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. When Andrey Udaltsov fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Great Ayton AFC's protests and gave Andrey Udaltsov a yellow card for diving instead. After 71 played minutes Great Ayton AFC got a freekick which was hit by Andrey Udaltsov. When Aleksey Aldonin came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Filey United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aleksey Aldonin couldn't finish the play. Arseniy Filimonov succeeded in the game's 97th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. Great Ayton AFC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
