The referee ignored Kairat MZFC's protests and gave Edmund Ochylski a yellow card for diving instead. After 13 played minutes Kairat MZFC got a freekick which was hit by Edmund Ochylski. A collision led to Trowell United getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Andrey Semenovskiy hit a great ball. Vyacheslav Kibanov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vladislav Barantsov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Efim Moiseev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kairat MZFC's Pirooz Rahimi got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Volkan Demirel made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Baltasar Berenguer sent off a good shot on target. If Anatoliy Shtein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Kairat MZFC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Taras Lanskoy hit a great ball. Kairat MZFC's Pirooz Rahimi got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Volkan Demirel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pirooz Rahimi in the 41st minute of the match. After 42 played minutes Trowell United got a freekick which was hit by Vyacheslav Kibanov. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anatoliy Shtein was the one to do the kick off. Trowell United's Volkan Demirel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltasar Berenguer in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute Kairat MZFC were awarded a corner. Danila Grechuhin went to the cornerflag to take it. Kairat MZFC's Danila Grechuhin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Volkan Demirel in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Kairat MZFC's zone, Anatoliy Shtein stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vladislav Barantsov came out of the goal and Anatoliy Shtein tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anatoliy Shtein in the 74th minute of play forced Kairat MZFC's goalkeeper Vladislav Barantsov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th match minute, Trowell United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vyacheslav Kibanov to maneuver through the defense. 78 minutes into the game, Ilya Podkopalov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kairat MZFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Trowell United the free kick. After 79 played minutes Kairat MZFC got a freekick which was hit by Ilya Podkopalov. Aimar Rabanal hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Trowell United were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
