Agustin Beila's late challenge caught a Dinamo Almaty's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Agustin Beila helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Kaisar Astana getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Agustin Beila hit a great ball. With his leg Cruz Viana managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when Dinamo Almaty's Gong Kun Zhen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The crowd rose to their feet as Gong Kun Zhen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cruz Viana. That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. Vladimir Loginov scored 2-0 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cruz Viana, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee felt a red card was in order, 23 minutes into the game, when Richard Vale put in a rough tackle. 22 minutes into the game, one of Kaisar Astana:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Gong Kun Zhen took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cruz Viana. Cruz Viana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. After 32 played minutes Kaisar Astana got a freekick which was hit by Arif Keskin. Igor Solomonov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Altuğ Vefi having to interfere. Viktor Anastasiev kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Cruz Viana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gong Kun Zhen in the 45th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gong Kun Zhen to make the kick off. Gong Kun Zhen scored 6-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cruz Viana, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kaisar Astana's Cruz Viana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gong Kun Zhen in the 58th minute of play. A collision led to Kaisar Astana getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Arif Keskin hit a great ball. In the 60th minute Aleksandr Balaban shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cruz Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the game, Arif Keskin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kaisar Astana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dinamo Almaty the free kick. After 63 played minutes Kaisar Astana got a freekick which was hit by Arif Keskin. In the 64th minute of the match Petr Zakharov sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cruz Viana skillfully saved the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Dinamo Almaty's goal looked a bit too open when Ruslan Kulikov came free, but Altuğ Vefi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cruz Viana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gong Kun Zhen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 77 minutes of play, Dinamo Almaty's Dmitriy Lepeshkevich made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cruz Viana was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cruz Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aleksandr Balaban in the 85th minute of play. Dinamo Almaty's Amancio Luke was substituted for Eleuterio Guilabertus. In the 92nd match minute, Kaisar Astana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustin Beila to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Amancio Luke managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dinamo Almaty's supporters rose to their feet, but Amancio Luke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cruz Viana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee ended the match the Dinamo Almaty players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
