Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Anatoliy Shtein started the match with the kick off. GÓRNIK ZABRZE's Anatoliy Guschin got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Trowell United getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Anatoliy Berestov hit a great ball. In the 8th minute Márton Irmai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vsevolod Losev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vsevolod Losev didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anatoliy Guschin went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Mark Van De Broeck was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gerasim Golotyuk. In the 19th minute Márton Irmai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vsevolod Losev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the game, Anatoliy Guschin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Vsevolod Losev was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 24 played minutes Trowell United got a freekick which was hit by Vitaliy Rogov. If Grigoriy Sobolev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, Márton Irmai had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vsevolod Losev. Trowell United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Márton Irmai was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 35th minute, Márton Irmai made a precise shot to the right of Vsevolod Losev. Trowell United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. In the 40th minute Márton Irmai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vsevolod Losev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vyacheslav Kibanov kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Mark Van De Broeck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anatoliy Shtein in the 45th minute of play. Valentin Letunov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Mark Van De Broeck made a huge save. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Márton Irmai to make the kick off. A collision led to GÓRNIK ZABRZE getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Artem Haidin hit a great ball. In the 54th minute, Valentin Letunov sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and GÓRNIK ZABRZE's Mark Van De Broeck didn't even have to move. Vsevolod Losev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artem Haidin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 59 minutes into the match, Trowell United's goal looked a bit too open when Márton Irmai came free, but Vsevolod Losev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th match minute, Trowell United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitaliy Rogov to maneuver through the defense. Márton Irmai might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vsevolod Losev. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Márton Irmai ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as GÓRNIK ZABRZE's Anatoliy Guschin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vsevolod Losev. That made the score 0-5 after 63 minutes of play. Mark Van De Broeck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anatoliy Shtein, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Vsevolod Losev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Márton Irmai in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Márton Irmai left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GÓRNIK ZABRZE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. With 84 minutes on the clock, Konstantin Abertasov commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 83 minutes into the game, one of GÓRNIK ZABRZE:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Anatoliy Guschin took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vsevolod Losev. Vsevolod Losev dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Andrey Semenovskiy made in the 93rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Valentin Letunov however managed to control. 94 minutes into the game, Anatoliy Guschin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GÓRNIK ZABRZE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Trowell United the free kick. When the match was over GÓRNIK ZABRZE could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Trowell United throughout the match.
