They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Daniil Bat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vadim Avladeev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Real Madrid CF getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Zahar Efimov hit a great ball. 78 minutes into the match, Vadim Avladeev notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Real Madrid CF's Daniil Bat. Daniil Bat was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aleksandr Cheremuhin kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Vasiliy Babkin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 94 minutes into the game, one of Borussia Dortmund:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Leonid Muhin, was totally fooled by Real Madrid CF's Igor Golovchanskih, who 96 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The Borussia Dortmund fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Real Madrid CF were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
