Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Galatasaray SK's Cristiano Hagi started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristiano Hagi in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ippolit Chernov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 7th minute Cristiano Hagi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ippolit Chernov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute, Eric Oltean made a precise shot to the right of Ippolit Chernov. Yuri's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Ippolit Chernov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristiano Hagi went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After 21 minutes of play, Galatasaray SK's Anders Målare made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ippolit Chernov was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ippolit Chernov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anders Målare, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Latif Al Fakir showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Semen Dikov, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute Valeriy Chernetsov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ippolit Chernov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Cristiano Hagi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ippolit Chernov was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Ippolit Chernov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yiğit Özdoğru went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Cristiano Hagi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the game, Nikolay Istratov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yuri's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galatasaray SK the free kick. A collision led to Yuri getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Nikolay Istratov hit a great ball. Cristiano Hagi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Ippolit Chernov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Yuri's Konstantin Danilov got a free kick in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Semen Dikov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Yiğit Özdoğru lined in a short shot 0-8 behind a frustrated Ippolit Chernov. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eric Oltean got free with Ippolit Chernov in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Yiğit Özdoğru kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ippolit Chernov. That made the score 0-10 in the 62 minute of play. Ippolit Chernov came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Galatasaray SK's Eric Oltean. But to his dismay, Eric Oltean quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-11. 70 minutes into the game, Eric Oltean recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ippolit Chernov. Eric Oltean showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-12. Yiğit Özdoğru's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ippolit Chernov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Ippolit Chernov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Hagi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ippolit Chernov came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Galatasaray SK's Eric Oltean. In the 82nd match minute, Yuri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Konstantin Danilov to maneuver through the defense. If Frank Zijden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yuri's Ippolit Chernov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Yuri from getting a goal against them. Ippolit Chernov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yiğit Özdoğru in the 89th minute of the match. When the match was over Galatasaray SK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Yuri throughout the match.
