Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After a rather tough play, Walsall's Philip Johnson got a free kick in the 5th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Wem's zone, Barrie Payne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frankie Waddington came out of the goal and Barrie Payne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 13 minutes, Wesley Edgson made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Walsall's Basil Floyd tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Duncan Rowe took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Basil Floyd. Basil Floyd dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The supporters of Wem booed when Walsall was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kyle Beattie didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Wem's Duncan Rowe got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 38th minute, Barney Clemence hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oliver Kingston hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 53rd minute Kyle Beattie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frankie Waddington saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barrie Payne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Frankie Waddington tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frankie Waddington didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Walsall's Barrie Payne shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. After 59 minutes of play Wem's Wally Duff was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In a very dangerous position, a player in Wem fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 59th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Walsall a penalty, 61 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Pierre Simms, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Wem's Frankie Waddington. 2-2. If Geoff Wadham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frankie Waddington took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barrie Payne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kyle Beattie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barrie Payne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Frankie Waddington tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frankie Waddington came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Walsall's Barrie Payne. But to his dismay, Barrie Payne quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Frankie Waddington stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Barrie Payne's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. 94 minutes into the match, Walsall's goalkeeper Basil Floyd had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wesley Edgson.
