Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Alveley United's Rod England started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Glen Beckett got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 6thth minute of the game Rod England who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Great Leighs's Austen Bourton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Graham Skinner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinnie Hampton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rich Steadman took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Austen Bourton. Austen Bourton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Graham Skinner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinnie Hampton in the 25th minute of the match. Alveley United's Rod England got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Great Leighs's Glen Beckett came free and shot a quick shot against goal 32 minutes in the game, fortunately Graham Skinner had problems saving as it came toward the left post. In the 33rd minute, Sebastien Willetts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Alveley United booed when Great Leighs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sam Farmer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Huey Broom kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Great Leighs's goal looked a bit too open when Rod England came free, but Austen Bourton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vinnie Hampton to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Amedeo Bordon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alveley United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amedeo Bordon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 59 minutes into the game, Rich Steadman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Austen Bourton. Rich Steadman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. 63 minutes into the game, Rodney Blewitt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Austen Bourton was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sebastien Willetts struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Austen Bourton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alveley United. Graham Skinner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Glen Beckett, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. When Great Leighs's Kris Lamb in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Alveley United's goalie prevented a goal. Rich Steadman hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Graham Skinner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glen Beckett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Alveley United's zone, Vinnie Hampton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Graham Skinner came out of the goal and Vinnie Hampton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rod England sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute Glen Beckett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Graham Skinner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alveley United's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
