Sheringham's Marcus Rush proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Sheringham from getting a goal against them. 18 minutes into the match, Sheringham's goalkeeper Marcus Rush had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Denny Little. In the 20th minute Jeremy Carpenter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Rush saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd match minute, Snailbeach and Stiperstones City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Hitchen to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, Jonathan Hepburn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Keith Abbotts hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. The supporters of Sheringham booed when Snailbeach and Stiperstones City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremy Carpenter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcus Rush read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Marcus Golding hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After having played for 58 minutes, Denny Little managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Snailbeach and Stiperstones City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Denny Little was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Snailbeach and Stiperstones City booed when Sheringham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pierre Blake didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Sheringham defense, Jeremy Carpenter kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcus Rush. The Sheringham fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcus Rush should have stopped the shot. In the 73rdth minute of the game Jeremy Carpenter who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sheringham's Marcus Rush was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Sheringham defense, Denny Little kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcus Rush. The Sheringham fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcus Rush should have stopped the shot. Denny Little sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 82 minutes of play, Snailbeach and Stiperstones City's Denny Little made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcus Rush was left in no man's land by his defense there! 90 minutes into the match, Jeremy Carpenter notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Sheringham's Marcus Rush. Marcus Rush was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Denny Little came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Snailbeach and Stiperstones City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Denny Little couldn't finish the play. Rich Savage recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
