In the 3rd minute Andrew Howard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmy Lydiate saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 3 minutes into the game, Jeremy Hampton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jimmy Lydiate was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Oscar Lowe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Oscar Lowe scored 0-3 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jimmy Lydiate, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 28th minute Oscar Lowe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmy Lydiate saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Jeremy Hampton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Castletown's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeremy Hampton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jimmy Lydiate breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Morden defense, Ricky Oldham kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jimmy Lydiate. The Morden fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jimmy Lydiate should have stopped the shot. In the 45th minute, Ricky Oldham left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Castletown fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. After the first half Castletown were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

An unexpected shot in the 53rd minute by Ricky Oldham got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Micheal Childs hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Jimmy Lydiate showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Lowe, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. If Charlie Pointon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Castletown's Andrew Howard got a free kick in the 64th minute. Charlie Pointon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vincent Frampton having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Morden's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Lowe came free, but Jimmy Lydiate reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Oscar Lowe kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jimmy Lydiate. That made the score 0-6 in the 77 minute of play. When Jeremy Hampton came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Castletown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeremy Hampton couldn't finish the play. Nicholas Mead received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Vincent Frampton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Charlie Pointon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ricky Oldham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Jimmy Lydiate tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Castletown's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
