Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After a rather tough play, Fakenham's Dylan Halliday got a free kick in the 8th minute. After having played for 9 minutes, Alexander Fountain managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Binsted's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexander Fountain was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Charlie Hird took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexander Fountain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th match minute, Binsted was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rod Crossley to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hugh Hollingsworth in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jake Burley saved Binsted from getting behind. In the 20th minute Alexander Fountain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charlie Hird saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fakenham's Charlie Hird played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexander Fountain in the 21st minute of play. Gus Winstanley's shot from long distance in the 25th minute was not bad at all, but Binsted's Jake Burley knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. After 29 played minutes Binsted got a freekick which was hit by Kristopher Heath. Charlie Hird made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Piers Ripley in the 32nd minute of play. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Alexander Fountain sped through Fakenham's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Charlie Hird. After 37 minutes of play, Binsted's Alexander Fountain made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Charlie Hird was left in no man's land by his defense there! Piers Ripley took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Charlie Hird. Charlie Hird dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 46th minute Alexander Fountain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charlie Hird saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Fakenham getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Crispin Lobb hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hugh Hollingsworth made a kick off. Fakenham's Charlie Hird played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Piers Ripley in the 55th minute of play. In the 58th minute Piers Ripley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charlie Hird saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexander Fountain's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Charlie Hird firmly grabbed it by the left post. A collision led to Fakenham getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Crispin Lobb hit a great ball. Binsted's Piers Ripley got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alexander Fountain could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Charlie Hird made a huge save. Piers Ripley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Charlie Hird read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Glenn Almond hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 86 played minutes Fakenham got a freekick which was hit by Crispin Lobb. Charlie Hird took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Piers Ripley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 88 minutes of play, Binsted's Alexander Fountain made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Charlie Hird was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alexander Fountain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Charlie Hird tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivan Charlton charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ivan Charlton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Russell Bentley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Binsted's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
