Oscar Lowe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Oscar Lowe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rufus Welsh hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Kristopher Griffiths made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Jeremy Hampton sent off a good shot on target. After 37 played minutes Oscar Lowe rounded Herne Bay FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. Vincent Frampton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Piers Carsley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Kristopher Griffiths made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricky Oldham in the 53rd minute of play. Kristopher Griffiths showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricky Oldham, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After 60 played minutes Herne Bay FC got a freekick which was hit by Eddy Mortimer. Castletown's Andrew Howard was substituted for Ricky Oldham. In the 69th match minute, Herne Bay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sam Askew to maneuver through the defense. 73 minutes into the game, Piers Carsley was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Herne Bay FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Castletown the free kick. Piers Carsley kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Vincent Frampton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Piers Carsley in the 77th minute of the match. During the 80th minute of the match Piers Carsley completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Piers Carsley a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Piers Carsley kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Kristopher Griffiths took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miles Chiverton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Castletown's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
