Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Castletown's Ricky Oldham started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Piers Ripley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rod Crossley helped the player get up and apologised. After 6 played minutes Binsted got a freekick which was hit by Rod Crossley. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oscar Lowe in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jake Burley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 9thth minute of the game Oscar Lowe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Binsted's Jake Burley was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Alexander Fountain was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Binsted's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Castletown the free kick. Alexander Fountain kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Jake Burley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricky Oldham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Castletown booed when Binsted was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tosh Wood didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jake Burley didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oscar Lowe went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Piers Ripley to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Piers Ripley in the 53rd minute of play forced Castletown's goalkeeper Vincent Frampton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Oscar Lowe fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Castletown's protests and gave Oscar Lowe a yellow card for diving instead. Oscar Lowe hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Vincent Frampton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Piers Ripley in the 56th minute of play. Piers Ripley struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Vincent Frampton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Binsted. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Fountain in the 58th minute of play forced Castletown's goalkeeper Vincent Frampton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute, Piers Ripley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alexander Fountain blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vincent Frampton having to make a save. Binsted's Piers Ripley got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Binsted getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Glenn Almond hit a great ball. Mattias Potterton hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Andrew Howard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Jake Burley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Castletown's Andrew Howard got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Binsted's Jake Burley proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Binsted from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Alexander Fountain managed to get in a good position for a shot. Binsted's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexander Fountain was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vincent Frampton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vincent Frampton came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Binsted's Piers Ripley. But to his dismay, Piers Ripley quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Piers Ripley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vincent Frampton having to interfere. Vincent Frampton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Piers Ripley in the 93rd minute of the match. Castletown's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
