Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Chelmsford's zone, Alexander Fountain stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tod Gale came out of the goal and Alexander Fountain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stan Leather kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 5th match minute, Binsted was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rod Crossley to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Binsted's Jake Burley got control of the ball when Phillip Dove tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Geoff Sullivan fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chelmsford's protests and gave Geoff Sullivan a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Binsted booed when Chelmsford was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geoff Sullivan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Binsted's Alexander Fountain got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Phillip Dove struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Jake Burley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chelmsford. In the 19th minute Geoff Sullivan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jake Burley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Chelmsford's Justin Champion got a free kick in the 24th minute. After 40 played minutes Chelmsford got a freekick which was hit by Matt Couch. Lance Pearson's late challenge caught a Binsted's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lance Pearson helped the player get up and apologised. 46 minutes into the game, one of Chelmsford:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Tod Gale had in the 47thth minute some difficulties stopping Kristopher Heath's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Kristopher Heath did an outstanding performance 47 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 0-1 to the right of an irritated Tod Gale in the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Binsted! The referee gave Chelmsford a penalty, 55 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Lance Pearson, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Binsted's Jake Burley. 1-1. Alexander Fountain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Alexander Fountain managed to get in a good position for a shot. Binsted's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexander Fountain was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tod Gale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Binsted's Jake Burley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geoff Sullivan in the 63rd minute of play. Alexander Fountain in the 69thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tod Gale, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 76th minute, Alexander Fountain got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tod Gale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Piers Ripley in the 79th minute of the match. Tod Gale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexander Fountain in the 82nd minute. 86 minutes into the match, Binsted's goal looked a bit too open when Phillip Dove came free, but Jake Burley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jake Burley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geoff Sullivan in the 90th minute of the match.
