A hard shot by Nathan Stead from long distance, 26 minutes into the match, got Damion Lonsdale's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Damion Lonsdale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremy Hampton in the 27th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Stalybridge United's Deon Porter got a free kick in the 96th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Lowe in the 99th minute of play forced Stalybridge United's goalkeeper Damion Lonsdale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Stalybridge United players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
