An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricky Oldham in the 3rd minute of play forced Fakenham's goalkeeper Charlie Hird to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Fakenham's Hugh Hollingsworth got a free kick in the 5th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gus Winstanley during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gus Winstanley kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Hugh Hollingsworth ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vincent Frampton was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After a rather tough play, Fakenham's Dylan Halliday got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 24th minute Ricky Oldham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charlie Hird saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricky Oldham's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Charlie Hird read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Charlie Hird made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricky Oldham in the 27th minute of play. Charlie Hird stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oscar Lowe's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Lowe in the 33rd minute of play forced Fakenham's goalkeeper Charlie Hird to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Russell Bentley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oscar Lowe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charlie Hird having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricky Oldham in the 39th minute of play forced Fakenham's goalkeeper Charlie Hird to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugh Hollingsworth in the 44th minute of play forced Castletown's goalkeeper Vincent Frampton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hugh Hollingsworth to make the kick off. A collision led to Fakenham getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Pierce Willoughby hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the match, Oscar Lowe dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Charlie Hird, 1-1. Castletown made a substitution. Andrew Howard replaced Ricky Oldham. When Oscar Lowe came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Castletown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oscar Lowe couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oscar Lowe in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Charlie Hird prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Andrew Howard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Charlie Hird made a huge save. Andrew Howard succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 81st playminute. In the 87th minute, Oscar Lowe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pierce Willoughby hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 90th minute, Castletown's Oscar Lowe dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3.
