Marty Haley took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Victor Rooney. West Rainton's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Kurt Townson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the game, Tyrone Joy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hunstanton City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave West Rainton the free kick. In the 92nd match minute, Hunstanton City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tyrone Joy to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Hunstanton City's Ty Price got control of the ball when Dan Neville tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hunstanton City's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
