Spectators: 9304 (Terracing: 6980, Seating: 2139, VIP seats: 185) Liverpool FC's Leif Barka started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Liverpool FC's Kevin Hutchings got a free kick in the 8th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Billy Eastwood in the 9th minute of play forced Liverpool FC's goalkeeper Sean Bolton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Leif Barka kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jimmy Flack. That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. Sean Bolton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Billy Eastwood, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kevin Hutchings hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the game, Billy Eastwood cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Sean Bolton was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 22 minutes into the game, Howard Horseman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Jimmy Flack was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Spike Corby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sean Bolton having to interfere. After 32 played minutes Liverpool FC got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Hutchings. 33 minutes into the match, Liverpool FC's goal looked a bit too open when Billy Eastwood came free, but Sean Bolton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sean Bolton came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Bedlington's Spike Corby. But to his dismay, Spike Corby quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Sean Bolton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Billy Eastwood in the 41st minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Jimmy Flack came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Liverpool FC's Leif Barka. But to his dismay, Leif Barka quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Spike Corby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leif Barka in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jimmy Flack saved Bedlington from getting behind. In the 70th minute Billy Eastwood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sean Bolton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sean Bolton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Spike Corby in the 72nd minute. After 73 played minutes Bedlington got a freekick which was hit by Ross Hay. Kevin Hutchings fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmy Flack having to interfere. In the 81st match minute, Liverpool FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevin Hutchings to maneuver through the defense. Leif Barka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
