In the 3rd minute Damion Allott shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bob Aldridge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sheerness FC's Alfred Broadhurst got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 11 minutes into the match, Walmley AFC's goalkeeper Greg Paine had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joshua Faith. Alfred Broadhurst received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Greg Paine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Walmley AFC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Damion Allott hit a great ball. In the 20th minute, Matt McCormick got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Karl Argent managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sheerness FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Karl Argent was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Greg Paine breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Matt McCormick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Greg Paine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes in the game, Matt McCormick fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Greg Paine having to interfere. Greg Paine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Broadhurst, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Walmley AFC's Greg Paine proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Walmley AFC from getting a goal against them. If Karl Argent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 58 minutes into the match, Alfred Broadhurst had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Greg Paine. Walmley AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfred Broadhurst was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Sheerness FC's Theo Spacey got a free kick in the 62nd minute. After 63 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sheerness FC! Greg Paine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl Argent, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Karl Argent fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Greg Paine having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Walmley AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Alfred Broadhurst came free, but Greg Paine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Greg Paine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl Argent in the 81st minute of play. Damion Allott charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Damion Allott the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alfred Broadhurst struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Greg Paine didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sheerness FC.
