Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Billy Eastwood kicked off to start the match. Jimmy Flack didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 4th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Spike Corby managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bedlington's supporters rose to their feet, but Spike Corby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jermaine Crowther breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 11 minutes, Gordon Forrest managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hucknall's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gordon Forrest was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jermaine Crowther made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Spike Corby in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th minute Billy Eastwood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jermaine Crowther saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jermaine Crowther took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Spike Corby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gordon Forrest received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Jimmy Flack tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jermaine Crowther showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Billy Eastwood in the 32nd minute of the match. Billy Eastwood fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jermaine Crowther having to interfere. Billy Eastwood blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jermaine Crowther having to make a save. Jermaine Crowther took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Spike Corby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Billy Eastwood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Billy Eastwood fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jermaine Crowther having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gordon Forrest to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Billy Eastwood put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Jermaine Crowther. 55 minutes into the match, Bedlington's goal looked a bit too open when Gordon Forrest came free, but Jimmy Flack reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute, Bedlington's Billy Eastwood ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jermaine Crowther. Jermaine Crowther yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Jimmy Flack made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gordon Forrest in the 66th minute of play. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bedlington's goalkeeper Jimmy Flack, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Spike Corby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jermaine Crowther having to interfere. Billy Eastwood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hucknall's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Billy Eastwood scored to the left of an out of position Jermaine Crowther, making the score, 1-4. Billy Eastwood fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jermaine Crowther having to interfere. Billy Eastwood received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Jermaine Crowther tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jermaine Crowther made an important save on a dangerous shot by Spike Corby in the 94th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cliff Mortlock during the 96th minute. Bedlington's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
