Tosh Cartwright hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. CJ Waller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. ATTACK CLUB's Rod Le Tissier got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 18 minutes into the match, West Rainton's goal looked a bit too open when Rod Le Tissier came free, but Victor Rooney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jon Thornton made a great header on ATTACK CLUB's corner, it was just that West Rainton's Victor Rooney managed to reach the ball for a save. Jon Thornton succeeded in the game's 20th minute to get real power on a long shot . West Rainton's Victor Rooney hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 0-2! After having played for 24 minutes, CJ Waller managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ATTACK CLUB's supporters crossed their fingers, but CJ Waller was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 26thth minute of the game CJ Waller who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but West Rainton's Victor Rooney was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rod Le Tissier in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victor Rooney prevented the ball from getting in the gole. West Rainton's Victor Rooney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rod Le Tissier in the 28th minute of play. If Guy Frizzell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 40 minutes of play, ATTACK CLUB's Rod Le Tissier made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Victor Rooney was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 47 minutes, Rod Le Tissier made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. West Rainton's Victor Rooney tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

Rod Le Tissier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Victor Rooney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 56 minutes, Victor Rooney successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a defensive mix-up in West Rainton's zone, CJ Waller stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victor Rooney came out of the goal and CJ Waller tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. CJ Waller might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victor Rooney. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. CJ Waller ran back to his position shaking his head. Victor Rooney stood somewhat misplaced when Rod Le Tissier came free in front of goal and shot 0-6 to the left of him in the 69 minute. Dylan Lambert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Victor Rooney showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rod Le Tissier, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Victor Rooney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rod Le Tissier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Dylan Lambert could shoot a difficult shot in the 95th minute, which Victor Rooney however easily saved by the left post.
