Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gordon Forrest got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gordon Forrest in the 4th minute of play forced Sheerness FC's goalkeeper Bob Aldridge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bob Aldridge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joe Plumber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jermaine Crowther made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Beattie in the 12th minute of play. After 22 minutes, Thom Morcom mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hucknall and the Sheerness FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thom Morcom kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After having played for 29 minutes, Karl Argent managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sheerness FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl Argent was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39th minute, Cliff Mortlock made a precise shot to the right of Bob Aldridge. Sheerness FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Beattie in the 42nd minute of play forced Hucknall's goalkeeper Jermaine Crowther to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rdth minute of the game Karl Argent who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hucknall's Jermaine Crowther was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 47th minute Gordon Forrest shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bob Aldridge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Karl Argent to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Karl Argent's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jermaine Crowther was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. If Karl Argent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sheerness FC's Matt McCormick got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gordon Forrest in the 60th minute of play forced Sheerness FC's goalkeeper Bob Aldridge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. John Beattie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jermaine Crowther having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Karl Argent in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jermaine Crowther prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joshua Faith's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jermaine Crowther read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Karl Argent sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 69 minutes into the match, Hucknall's goal looked a bit too open when John Beattie came free, but Jermaine Crowther reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jermaine Crowther showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joshua Faith, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. If John Beattie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sheerness FC's Bob Aldridge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gordon Forrest in the 75th minute of play. John Beattie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Karl Argent fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jermaine Crowther having to interfere. Joshua Faith received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Jermaine Crowther tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84thth minute of the game Karl Argent who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hucknall's Jermaine Crowther was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Karl Argent came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Sheerness FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl Argent couldn't finish the play. In the 90th minute, Matt McCormick ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jermaine Crowther was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 93 minutes into the game, Sheerness FC's Matt McCormick nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jermaine Crowther made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. When the referee ended the match the Sheerness FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
