The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Greg Paine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darren Pennant, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darren Pennant in the 5th minute of play forced Walmley AFC's goalkeeper Greg Paine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martyn Hibbert charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Martyn Hibbert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Martyn Hibbert hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Greg Paine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tristan Southgate in the 16th minute of the match. If Darren Pennant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Darren Pennant took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Greg Paine. Greg Paine dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 25 played minutes, Walmley AFC's Perry Pollard shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alastair Hartley came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Walmley AFC reached it. Darren Pennant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Greg Paine having to interfere. In the 30thth minute of the game Tristan Southgate who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Walmley AFC's Greg Paine was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tristan Southgate in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Greg Paine prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Walmley AFC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Damion Allott hit a great ball. The supporters of Uffington booed when Walmley AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damion Allott didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Walmley AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Tristan Southgate came free, but Greg Paine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Uffington's Darren Pennant sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Greg Paine narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Tristan Southgate notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Walmley AFC's Greg Paine. Greg Paine was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Greg Paine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darren Pennant in the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Miles Ripley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Walmley AFC's Caleb Prior in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Uffington's goalie prevented a goal. Tristan Southgate fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Greg Paine having to interfere. If Darren Pennant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Caleb Prior made a kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match Olly Parsons shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alastair Hartley showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Darren Pennant managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uffington's supporters rose to their feet, but Darren Pennant was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Greg Paine breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 57 minutes into the game, Damion Allott was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Walmley AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uffington the free kick. Tristan Southgate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Greg Paine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Greg Paine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tristan Southgate, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Tristan Southgate was extremely unlucky when he, in the 64th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Greg Paine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tristan Southgate in the 67th minute of play. Darren Pennant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Greg Paine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Darren Pennant's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 70thth minute, Greg Paine skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Uffington booed when Walmley AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damion Allott didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 72 minutes, Darren Pennant made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Walmley AFC's Greg Paine tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 75th play minutes Tristan Southgate shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Greg Paine and just under the crossbar into goal. 83 minutes into the game, Uffington's Darren Pennant nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Greg Paine made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. After 90 played minutes Walmley AFC got a freekick which was hit by Damion Allott. Darren Pennant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Greg Paine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ruben Browning struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Greg Paine didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uffington. Uffington's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
