Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Tommy Byfield made the kick off which started today's match. Will Glasby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ken Eyre in the 8th minute of the match. Larry Langsford made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Deon Blakeley sent off a good shot on target. When Tommy Byfield came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Howden fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tommy Byfield couldn't finish the play. Deon Blakeley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Larry Langsford having to interfere. Deon Blakeleys short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Larry Langsford to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Cody Leadbeater hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Howden's Syd Wicks tried to score from far away in the 30th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 32 minutes into the match, Bangladeño's goalkeeper Larry Langsford had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Phillip Chappell. Dominic Hardcastle struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Will Glasby didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bangladeño. After having played for 37 minutes, Ken Eyre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bangladeño's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ken Eyre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Deon Blakeley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, Howden's Tommy Byfield ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Larry Langsford. Larry Langsford yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ken Eyre to strike the kick off in the second half. Larry Langsford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deon Blakeley in the 53rd minute of play. Will Glasby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dominic Hardcastle in the 56th minute of the match. When Howden's Tommy Byfield in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bangladeño's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tommy Byfield in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Larry Langsford prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Tommy Byfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Larry Langsford showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deon Blakeley in the 75th minute of the match. Tommy Byfield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ken Eyre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Will Glasby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Tommy Byfield made a precise shot to the right of Larry Langsford. Bangladeño's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. If Tommy Byfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Bangladeño getting a freekick after 87 minutes play.
