Jacob Forrester fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jake Plummer having to interfere. Downham Market AFC's Henry Ellerby got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jake Plummer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Garry Borrowdale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Rackenford AFC's Jacob Forrester in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 50 minutes in the game Vic Jackson after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Allan Rawlings. A very good opportunity. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After 59 played minutes Downham Market AFC got a freekick which was hit by Vic Jackson. Garry Borrowdale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jake Plummer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacob Forrester in the 70th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Downham Market AFC's Hayden McGrath got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Jake Plummer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Garry Borrowdale in the 83rd minute. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Downham Market AFC's goalkeeper Jake Plummer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Jamie Hammond fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 94th minute Henry Ellerby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Rawlings saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rackenford AFC's Jacob Forrester got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
