Seating: 2494, VIP seats: 216) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rhys Deacon got the match started through his kick off. Jeff Gray took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rhys Deacon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caversham's Crispin Bullard got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 6th match minute, Caversham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Patten to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jake Saville in the 10th minute of play forced Bangladesh Football's goalkeeper Jeff Gray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Martin Patten fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caversham's protests and gave Martin Patten a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Caversham's Martin Patten got a free kick in the 15th minute. Jerry Parrott could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Denis Ainsworth made a huge save. The supporters of Bangladesh Football booed when Caversham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Crispin Bullard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caversham's Denis Ainsworth proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Caversham from getting a goal against them. Jake Saville kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierre Laycock in the 25th minute of play forced Bangladesh Football's goalkeeper Jeff Gray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the game, Rhys Deacon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jeff Gray was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Bangladesh Football booed when Caversham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sam Goldthorpe didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Bangladesh Football's Oscar Dixon got a free kick in the 34th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Caversham's Jake Saville sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jeff Gray narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 36th match minute, Caversham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Patten to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Caversham were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Peter Shepherd was the one to do the kick off. Jeff Gray was a little too slow when Sam Goldthorpe got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 0-2. Denis Ainsworth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerry Parrott in the 59th minute of play. When Bryan Tyler fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bangladesh Football's protests and gave Bryan Tyler a yellow card for diving instead. In the 60th minute, Bryan Tyler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeff Gray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rhys Deacon in the 64th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Caversham's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Shepherd came free, but Denis Ainsworth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeff Gray took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rhys Deacon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierre Laycock in the 79th minute of play forced Bangladesh Football's goalkeeper Jeff Gray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caversham's Denis Ainsworth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Shepherd in the 81st minute of play. Jake Saville received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Jeff Gray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute Bryan Tyler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Ainsworth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Bangladesh Football fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Caversham were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
