Jerry Parrott could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Jonathan Fuller made a huge save. Jeff Gray was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jeff Gray took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dave Henwood, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jerry Parrott could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Jonathan Fuller made a huge save. After a rather tough play, New Wave FC's Kirk Sinclair got a free kick in the 41st minute. The Bangladesh Football players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. New Wave FC were winning 0-1.

When Jerry Parrott came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Bangladesh Football fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerry Parrott couldn't finish the play. 56 minutes into the game, Bangladesh Football's Peter Shepherd nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Fuller made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Jonathan Fuller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerry Parrott in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lenny Hallam in the 61st minute of play forced New Wave FC's goalkeeper Jonathan Fuller to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dave Henwood couldn't finish the play. Peter Shepherd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Fuller having to interfere. After 77 minutes, Peter Shepherd mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bangladesh Football and the New Wave FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 77th minute, Peter Shepherd hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dave Henwood recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bryan Tyler during the 81st minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
