Namjeev Kahlon hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amanda Chahil got free with Krish Maroke in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Krish Maroke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bimbaka Parmar, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Gopichandra Dambria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amitosa Dasgupta's late challenge caught a Harringay City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amitosa Dasgupta helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Portsmouth fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 18th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Harringay City a penalty, 21 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gurumel Kumar, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Portsmouth's Abhinava Virk. 0-1. After some careless play in the Portsmouth defense, Bhuvanacandra Liansailova kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abhinava Virk. The Portsmouth fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abhinava Virk should have stopped the shot. Bhuvanacandra Liansailova fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abhinava Virk having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bhuvanacandra Liansailova in the 43rd minute of play forced Portsmouth's goalkeeper Abhinava Virk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Harringay City's zone, Krsniya Sikand stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Krish Maroke came out of the goal and Krsniya Sikand tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Harringay City's Krish Maroke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bimbaka Parmar in the 46th minute of play. In the 48th minute, Adyasarana Mittal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bimbaka Parmar to make the kick off. Harringay City's Bhuvanacandra Liansailova got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bhuvanacandra Liansailova fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abhinava Virk having to interfere. Bhuvanacandra Liansailova received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Abhinava Virk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, Harringay City's goal looked a bit too open when Bimbaka Parmar came free, but Krish Maroke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Krish Maroke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Krsniya Sikand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Abhinava Virk managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Harringay City's Bhuvanacandra Liansailova fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Anasvan Barmi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bhuvanacandra Liansailova received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Abhinava Virk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Harringay City played a much better game than Portsmouth and deserved their victory. The Portsmouth players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
