After having played for 4 minutes, Ananda Shrivastav managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cockermouth City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ananda Shrivastav was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Davinderpal Sihota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bekura Bhave, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 8 minutes into the game, Jatinderpreet Dhaliwal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cockermouth City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Belton United the free kick. Jatinderpreet Dhaliwal hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Kushwah Linyu from long distance, 9 minutes into the match, got Ambunidhi Panu's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Devayana Bagha took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ambunidhi Panu to make any attempt to save it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kamesh Talib in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ambunidhi Panu saved Cockermouth City from getting behind. Ananda Shrivastav received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Davinderpal Sihota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Belton United's Davinderpal Sihota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bekura Bhave in the 26th minute of play. Kamesh Talibs short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Ambunidhi Panu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Aryacetas Solanki kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Bekura Bhave sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kamesh Talib fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ambunidhi Panu having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Devayana Bagha made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Devayana Bagha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ambunidhi Panu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Cockermouth City's goal looked a bit too open when Devayana Bagha came free, but Ambunidhi Panu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ambunidhi Panu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Devayana Bagha's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. The audience was convinced that Devayana Bagha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ambunidhi Panu was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Janistha Basra hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Kushwah Linyu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ambunidhi Panu. Cockermouth City's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 72 played minutes Cockermouth City got a freekick which was hit by Jatinderpreet Dhaliwal. Cockermouth City's Jatinderpreet Dhaliwal got his second yellow card of the match in the 76th minute. The referee ordered Jatinderpreet Dhaliwal off the ground. Ananda Shrivastav received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Davinderpal Sihota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cockermouth City's Ambunidhi Panu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Devayana Bagha in the 88th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Cockermouth City's zone, Devayana Bagha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ambunidhi Panu came out of the goal and Devayana Bagha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Belton United's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
