After 5 minutes of play, Deddington FC's Sarwan Ram made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Shepton Mallet City's Gurucarana Lepcha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iravata Toor in the 14th minute of play. Deddington FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Aparthiva Sahu scored to the left of an out of position Adhira Sirjoshi, making the score, 1-1. Iravata Toor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gurucarana Lepcha having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Shepton Mallet City's goal looked a bit too open when Iravata Toor came free, but Gurucarana Lepcha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute Iravata Toor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gurucarana Lepcha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Deddington FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aparthiva Sahu came free, but Adhira Sirjoshi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dvimurdhan Kapoor hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute, Sarwan Ram got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aparthiva Sahu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rajeswar Rao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 52nd minute, Bhujyu Bakshi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Deddington FC's Gurucarana Lepcha threw himself towards the right post 56 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sarwan Ram, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Rajpal Theunuo kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After 68 minutes Shepton Mallet City's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Narinder Chaha who took care of the corner kick. Iravata Toor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Gurucarana Lepcha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 75 played minutes Shepton Mallet City got a freekick which was hit by Aridamana Bisla. In the 76th match minute, Shepton Mallet City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aridamana Bisla to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in Deddington FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 78th minute. Penalty! Iravata Toor who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Gurucarana Lepcha when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With his leg Gurucarana Lepcha managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when Deddington FC's Iravata Toor fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sarwan Ram received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Gurucarana Lepcha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Shepton Mallet City getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Rajeswar Rao hit a great ball. Shepton Mallet City's Aparthiva Sahu got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
